Conostan是D系列军标油的原始发源地。30对年前，美国国防部的光谱油料分析委员会需要为它的磨损金属分析项目的标油。由于当时没有质量可靠的商业化标油，Conostan的研究部门就着手研究和开发了一套供美国国防部使用的独特而高级的可靠标油，这就是D系列标油。
