Studies performed on both radial (SPECTRO Modula ICP) and axial Nebulizer Catalog No.
(SPECTRO EOP) ICP-OES intruments indicate that a 2-3 time improvement in
sensitivity (and detection limits) can be obtained by changing from the conventional Nebulizer, Modified Lichte with Fittings 020-060-117

The modified Lichte Nebulizer incorporates double bore glass tubing with an impact SPECTRO X-REF # 48205036
bead for fine aerosol dispersion. Operating principles are similar to that of the
V-groove design where the face of the nebulizer encounters a high velocity stream *Nebulizer, Modified Lichte (0.7L/min)
of argon gas which converts the sample into a fine aerosol. This novel design allows
improved detection limits over standard pneumatic nebulizers while allowing solutions * Requires use of MLN cyclonic spray chamber. See ICP-OES Intrument section
