Welcome to the SCP SCIENCE 2015 Catalogue, 35th Anniversary Edition!
In honour of this milestone anniversary, we would like to introduce you to a very different SCP SCIENCE than the one you
may have known.
SCP SCIENCE started life in 1980 as a distributor of atomic spectroscopy instruments and supplies.
Through acquisitions and product development, SCP SCIENCE has evolved into a major manufacturer of instruments,
supplies and standards. In spite of these accomplishments and growth, we have maintained the original concept of providing
products for laboratories performing atomic spectroscopy analysis.
Our main facility is located in a custom-built 74,000 sq ft. modern building in the Baie D’Urfé suburb of Montreal. All head office
functions, as well as a global Customer Service Center, R & D Facility, Instrument Service Center, Manufacturing and Warehouse
space, are included here. We are especially proud of our 5000 sq. ft. Training Centre with its full laboratory and seminar capability
for large and small groups.
Today SCP SCIENCE is a very different company than when we started 35 years ago. As a manufacturer, our expertise now
encompasses:
• Plastic Injection moulding and plastic extrusion for PE, PP and Teflon® products;

and PVC, Santoprene® and Viton® tubing,
• Glassblowing and quartz work for ICP glassware and digestion vessels,
• Electronic board assembly and final instrument assembly,
• Automated Machining Centers for instrument parts as well as finished products,
• Inorganic solutions and standards with ICP AES and MS analytical services,
• Conostan oil based standards and reagents with ICP AES, S & N, Viscosity, and flash point analysis
Production is supported by a large R & D team including engineers, chemists, and physicists from technicians to doctorates.
Our QC Department ensures that every product leaving the building meets our rigid standards and conforms to our ISO standards
including 9001, 17025 and Guide 34.The company employs a continuously growing staff in Baie D’Urfé, Mississauga, Edmonton,
Paris, Munich, and Beijing and works with a global distribution network of well-trained distributors.
In the last two years, we have introduced the EasyPREP line of Laboratory Robotic Instruments for Sample Preparation in
the ICP lab as well as Analyzers for BOD, COD, and Automated Chemistry. In addition, we have introduced two, 2nd generation
Automated Microwave Digestions Systems together with a low cost version. These products, together with our other new
instruments, supplies and standards will be found in this 35th Anniversary edition catalogue.
